Tentenublo Wines, founded by visionary winemaker Roberto Oliván in Viñaspre, Rioja Alavesa, is at the forefront of a modern Rioja revolution. Rooted in tradition but unafraid to challenge conventions, Roberto crafts terroir-driven wines that celebrate the region’s rugged beauty and rich biodiversity. Working alongside his wife, Leyre, Roberto manages over 10 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, some of which are over a century old, spread across 30 small parcels.

Tentenublo’s approach combines old-world techniques, like spontaneous fermentations and aging in cement or used oak, with a commitment to preserving biodiversity. Each wine is a story of its origin, from the playful Tentenublo blends to the single-vineyard wines of the Escondite del Ardacho series. By embracing mixed plantings, biodynamic farming, and meticulous vineyard management, Tentenublo Wines offers bottles that are both artisanal and expressive of their unique terroir.

Escondite del Ardacho El Veriquete 2018 is a rare, single-parcel red wine from 50–110-year-old vines in Viñaspre, Rioja Alavesa. A field blend of Tempranillo (80%), Garnacha (10%), and white varieties (10%), this fresh, elegant wine is aged for nine months in 500L barrels. Limited to 2,067 bottles, it delivers vibrant fruit, refreshing acidity, and soft, refined tannins.
